We help clients to identify their triggers and areas for desired improvement, realize their behavioral patterns, and help establish the tools to redirect and reframe the harmful behaviors. It is an action-based approach that makes strong use of mindfullness.
DBT is acomprehensive, evidence-based psychotherapy designed to help people manage intense emotions, reduce self-harming behaviors, and improve relationships. It combines cognitive-behavioral techniques with mindfulness and acceptance strategies, originally developed for borderline personality disorder (BPD) but now used for depression, PTSD, and eating disorders.
Emotionally Focused therapy was developed by Dr. Sue Johnson. The goal is to practice identifying the emotional patterns of oneself and recognize the short and long term actions one takes in response to those things, and evaluate what needs to be adjusted when it is not serving your wellbeing.
This therapy is particularly well suited to de-escalation, healthier communication in relationships, and forming a more secure attachment style.
Children under 10 must be accompanied by a Parent or Guardian.
Our play therapy is implemented from a CBT perspective, and we have designed our approach to meet children where they are at. Largely by observation, and parental collaboration, to best understand the mental state of a child that does not have the developed communication skills to express themselves in an adult way.
Mindfulness is a core principal in overall wellbeing, but it can be difficult for some to practice. We come in to help offer guidance and constructive feedback in your process and ability to self-assess.
“Somatic” is relating to the body, especially as distinct from the mind.
Many individuals experience a condition called alexithymia, which is an increased difficulty in receiving or interpreting the needs of ones own body or mind. Those who are very self-aware but struggle with talk-therapy only, as well as those who struggle to identify their emotions topically will both benefit from Somatic Therapy. Movement therapies help individuals process feelings they have bottled up, and cannot seem to process mentally.
The most traditional form of therapy, based on our counsellors listening to the expertise you bring about your life. We aim to collaborate on healthy moves for where you take your story next.
Artistic Expression is a great communication tool for many people – both those who are traditionally good at expressing themselves, as well as those who struggle. Our councilors will work with you to interpret your emotionally charged works to help you understand what you have beneath your artistic expression.

Children below a certain age are not far enough in their cognitive and communication development to communicate in a way that is predictably standard yet. Due to this, our counsellors rely on vital information and interpretation of the parents with regard to their children’s actions and how standard they are, per example, to make the most informed analysis. A guardian present also increases the likelihood that a child is to act comfortably in an unfamiliar and particularly intimidating situation.
